RCC to meet again in Hodeida

Alsahwa Net-  Representatives of the government and the Houthis rebels will meet again on Wednesday 18 December 2019 on board of the United Nations (UN) vessel in the Red Sea, off Hodeida city, government sources were quoted on Sunday by the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat Daily Newspaper.

This UN-sponsored meeting comes following one year since signing the Stockholm agreement on Hodeida.

The meeting is part of the UN Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC) activities that meets regularly to discuss plans related to implementation of the Stockholm agreement.

The RCC is composed of representatives from the government and the Houthis and it was formed in line to the Stockholm agreement.

The government and the Houthis signed in December 2018 the Stockholm agreement to cease fighting in Hodeida, exchange prisoners and end the Houthis’ siege on Taiz city.
