Two Jordanians freed from Houthis’ detention

Alsahwa Net- The government of Jordan declared on Sunday that two Jordanian citizens who were held captive by the Houthis’ rebels in Sana’a, have been released.

Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, Spokesman of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said in statement that Thamer Qatishat and Hamdi Mulhem left Sana’a on Sunday following their confinement by the Houthis.

Al-Fayez indicated that the Houthis arrested both Qatishat and Mulhem upon their arrival in Sana’a on 7 November.

He added that both citizens were in Sana’a for auditing financial accounts of the UN humanitarian programs in Yemen.

He appreciated cooperation by the UN agencies especially the UN Special Envoy to Yemen towards release of the two Jordanian citizens.
