Alsahwa Net- The Non-Resident Ambassador of Yemen to Australia, Abdulghani Al-Shamiri demanded on Friday the Australian government to revise the support mechanism to the United Nations (UN) World Food Program (WFP) to ensure that food aides reach the needy people in the Houthis-held areas.
Al-Shamiri said that the Houthis divert the WFP aides to the non-targeted beneficiaries and that the government has evidence of food aides being sold in the market by the Houthis’ officials.
He discussed the issue with director of the Humanitarian Assistances and Non-Government Organizations, Rashil Muri.
Muri said that her country is about to review its policy of the humanitarian assistances with more accurate mechanism to access the most vulnerable groups.
