Islah’s spokesman: Our sole choice is to support state of rule

Alsahwa Net- Chief of the Islah Party’s Media Department, Ali Al-Jaradi, affirmed on Tuesday that his party is a political party that use political and legal means within the war against the Houthis’ coup and other similar rebellion in Yemen.

Al-Jaradi voiced this in a long talk to Bilgees satellite-television Channel. The talk coincides with systematic nationwide attacks against Islah’s leaders and headquarters by both the Houthis rebels in Sana’a and the southern separatists in Aden and other southern governorates.

Al-Jaradi said that the Islah party pays a heavy price for its political positions against the rebellions in Sana’a and Aden.

The Islah has been the chief target for both rebellions because of the party’s prominent support for a united republican Yemen under a federal democratic system, Al-Jaradi said.

He confirmed that the attacks against the Islah’s leaders continue at large-scale by labeling the party’s leaders with fake charges such as terrorism.

He referred to the statement by Gregory Johnsen, a member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Panel of Experts who detailed in a long article published by the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies (SCSS) that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) attempted to falsify the international experts to add Islah members and leaders to the UN terror-sanctioned list.

Johnsen explained in his article that the UAE provided baseless information that accuses Islah leaders and members of being members of the Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

“Johnsen has learned that such accusations are fake,” said Al-Jaradi.

In addition to the media distortion campaigns that target the Islah party, leaders and members of the party have been vulnerable to murder and abduction in both Sana’a and Aden.

He said that the Islah has no choice, but to keep supporting the legitimate government for fair peace, retrieval of the state and restoring the state of rule to maintain citizens’ dignity and freedom.

In response to exclusion allegations, Al-Jaradi affirmed that the Islah is literally out of the office and it is solely represented by two ministers in the cabinet.

He added that both Yemen and the Islah party have been subjected to division attempts and that such attacks against the party will only keep the party to go stronger.
