Houthis continue breaching Hodeida ceasefire

Alsahwa Net-The Houthis militants continued breaching the United Nations (UN)-sponsored ceasefire in Hodeida by targeting government’s forces.

The militants used artillery shelling and other various weapons for targeting different sites of the government’s forces on Monday and Tuesday.

The government’s joint forces in Hodeida said in a statement that the Houthis’ rebels shelled eastern and northern areas of Hais district, south Hodeida.

The statement quoted military sources that the rebels targeted military sites of the government’s forces in Hais district.

Yet, the shelling damaged citizens’ houses and properties, according to the statement.

Moreover, the rebels shelled extensively during the same two days Al-Faza area of Al-Tahaita distric, south Hodeida.

The Houthis use of artillery random shelling often cause human loss among civilians in Hodeida and inflict damages on private and public properties.

The UN-Hodeida ceasefire which was signed last December in Sweden has not been implemented yet amid government’s accusations against the UN of turning a blind eye to the Houthis’ violations to its own brokered- truce.
