Parliament sides with government against separation

Alsahwa Net- The Presidency of the Yemen Parliament confirmed on Wednesday its support for the President Hadi’s government against the separatists’ rebellion in south Yemen, the state-run Saba News Agency reported on Wednesday.

It demanded Hadi to use his constitutional authority to review Yemen’s relation with the Saudi-led coalition toward the state retrieval.

It warned against indifference to divergence of the declared goals of the Saudi-led intervention from state reinstatement to minor partisan and separation projects.

The Parliament presidency renewed and affirmed accusation of the United Arab Emirates of supporting the Southern Transitional Council (STC) separation militants in their ongoing armed rebellion attacks in south Yemen.

“Developments in Aden and Abyan target existence of the state institutions. It aims to create a new political and social reality that is based on political and regional segregation,” a statement of the Parliament presidency read.

It highlighted death acts and displacement of citizens that resulted from the ongoing armed rebellion by the STC militants against the state offices and military bases in Aden and Abyan.

It called on the government to use all instruments to end the rebellion in Aden and restore security of the city that is also a temporary base of the government.
