Yemen to complain Houthis and Iran to the UN

Alsahwa Net- The government of Yemen said on Monday that it will send a complaint to the United Nations (UN) over Houthis’ appointment of an ambassador to Tehran.

The London-based Asharq Al-Awsat Daily Newspaper quoted spokesman of the government, Rageh Badi that his government will send a complaint letter to the UN over the Houthis’ action towards nominating ambassador to Iran.

“The government rejects what the Houthis have done. It violates international laws and norms and the UNSC resolutions on Yemen,” Badi said.

The Houthis appointed on Saturday one of their leaders, Ibrahim Al-Dailami as ambassador of Yemen to Iran.

The Iran-government affiliated media outlets published the news of the appointment, which has been understood as an official recognition of the Houthis’ rule by Iran.
