After exposition of torture, Houthis bring abductees to court again

Alsahwa Net- The Iran-backed Houthi rebels have brought 36 abductees in the wake of publishing reports about their subjection to brutal torture inside a Houthi-controlled notorious prison in Sana’a.

During the trial, the abductees complained about their subjection to brutal torture and mistreatment, stressing that their dignities are violated.

Professor of Linguistic in Sana’a University Dr. Esmail al—Bawab, who is one of the prosecuted abductees, complained, during the trial, that the abductees are cuffed, beaten and all their private clothes are confiscated, and that they are only allowed to wear the prison’s uniforms.

He further told the court that they are deprived from food and medicines provided to them by their families.

The Abductees’ Mothers Association has appealed to local and international human rights organizations to immediately intervene to save the lives of the abductees detained in the Political Security prison in Sana’a after being subjected to brutal torture by the Houthis.
