Arab Coalition declares 48 ceasefire in Yemen

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition declared on Saturday a 48 hours ceasefire on the condition that the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh abide to it and allow humanitarian assistance into besieged cities including Taiz.

The Arab Coalition also put conditions of sending their representative to the southern Saudi city of Dhahran al-Janoub order to make security and military arrangements to end rebel control over several cities in the north — including the capital, Sana'a.

The Arab Coalition also pointed out that the ceasefire came as response to efforts of the United Nations to bring peace to Yemen and provide humanitarian assistance and medicines to Yemenis.

The Arab Coalition reiterated that it will commit to the ceasefire if the Houthi militias do not violate the truce
