Houthi exremists shell public square, injure six civilians in Taiz

Houthis have shelled a public square and injured six civilians including young boys in Yemen's southwestern city of Taiz on Friday.

Eyewitnesses told the state-run Saba news agency the militants fired shell into the Freedom Square where hundreds of people were gathering for the weeking Friday Prayer and protests against the Houthi four-year siege on their city.

Among the injured are two boys, according to the witnesses.

The extremists, backed by the Islamic Republic of Iran, signed a statement of understanding in Stockholm on 13th December to lift the siege they impose on Taiz. But so far, they have showed no seriousness in implementing the deal but rather escalated their usual attacks against the civilians there.
