Houthi militia assaults abductees during their trial in Sana'a

The Houthi militia assaulted a number of abductees they brought to trial in their illegitimate courts in the capital Sana'a on Sunday.

The Association of the Mothers of Abductees in Houthi custody (for their political opposition to the militia's overthrow of the Yemeni state in 2014) condemned the militia's assault of 36 of their children who stood trial in in Sana'a on fake charges.

Some of the mothers and parents of the abductees attended the trial session and saw their handcuffed and stained in blood the extremist theocrats beat them.

The Association said in a statement that "the armed Houthi militia is trying 36 abductees inside the Political Security prison in Sana'a after fabricating charges against them, and subjecting them to daily systematic torture, and the deterioration of the abductees ' health and development of chronic diseases. Some of the abductees have suffered paralysis and displacement in backbone discs due to torture and kidney failure."

The statement condemned the continuous silence of the international human rights community who have been failing the abductees for more than three consecutive years."

The Association called upon the government and Yemeni society, including the country's intellectuals to criminalize this aggression and work together to end these atrocities.
