Griffiths in Sana'a for final attempt to talk Houthis out of Hodeidah

The UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, returned to Sana'a yesterday to make a final attempt to persuade the Houthi rebel militia to withdraw from Hodeidah and its ports in order to spare the city the consequences of armed showdown. Griffiths hopes to complete arrangements for the resumption of peace negotiations between the government and the putschists.

On his arrival at Sana'a airport, Griffiths did not make any new statements, while international sources in Sana'a said that the visit would take three days.
