President Hadi: Houthi will get lost like dust, trailed by curses

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has described the Houthi rebels roiling his country in its bloodiest war and insurgency in history as a militia that "popped up in the form of a curse from the dust of history" and will subsequently "get lost like a dust, trailed by curses."

Addressing the nation on the eve of Eid al-Fitr on Thursday, Hadi said "We assure you that we with the help of our brethren in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, will spare no effort to alleviate the suffering of our people" resulting from the relentless Houthi insurgency.

He said that the streak of victories including the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah will dash the ill ambitions of the rebels who dream of imposing their theocratic (Islamic) state on the nation.

"We had tried by all means including seeking international intervention to persuade the bloody militia to consider peaceful political settlement … but they always proved that they are merely dirty tools in the hands of those who control them."

The Yemeni government has always blamed Iran for providing assistance including military one for the Houthi terrorist militia.
