Houthi landmine injures woman and her two children in Taiz

A woman and her two children were wounded by a landmine that the Houthi rebels had planted in western Taiz.

Local sources said that the family of Tawfiq al-Muqbeli, a mother and her two children, when they stepped  on a landmine in the village of Al-Qooz in Jabal Habashi area in the central Yemen province of Taiz.

The Iran-backed rebels planted hundreds of mines in Taiz, including in the villages and residential areas it controls. As the army retakes areas from Houthis, families feel safer to go back to their villages. But many  of the returnees face the scourge of landmines.
