Appeals to save displaced persons of Hajjah

Yemeni activists will launch on Saturday a media campaign which aims to highlight the suffering and tragedy of Hajjah's people who displaced from their areas due to the conflict in Yemen.

The activists of the campaign appealed to all media outlets, journalists and activists to interact with this campaign and disclose the obstacles always put by the Houthis to prevent the delivery of relief to displaced persons

The number of displaced persons in Hajjah reached 500,000, most of them were deported from border districts which were turned out by the Houthis to battlefields.

Hajjah is located in the northwest of Yemen and is comprised of 31 districts. It has 2,104,400 people. Estimates confirm that only 17% of Hajjah population access clean drinking water.

The number of displaced persons in Hajjah governorate is 485,388 including 134,000 outside the governorate.

The campaign aims to highlight the suffering of displaced persons in Hajjah and identify their areas and how to deliver relief to them.
