Military spokesman: Army cuts supply lines to Houthi rebels west of Taiz

A spokesman for the Military Axis of Taiz, Colonel Abdel Basset al-Bahr said, "the government forces succeeded in liberating Muthallath Alscentral, al-Arish and other areas to the west of Taiz city cutting supply lines to the rebels in the inner western outskirt of the city.

In a statement quoted by the Saudi daily Okaz he said that the army forces cut the supply lines to the rebel militia's fronts, which are now completely besieged.

"The Apache aircraft of the Arab Coalition hunted the rebel elements and destroyed their vehicles as they fled the frontlines," he said.

The military spokesman appealed to the rebel fighters that if they " lay down arms will have full rights" and spared the crackdown.

He said the army is working to restore the stable developing Yemen and end the people's suffering at the hands of the terrorist militia.
