Houthis disallow WHO vaccination drive against cholera

Houthi rebels have refused to allow the World Health Organization to launch an anti-cholera vaccination campaign, 18 months after the outbreak of the epidemic as a result of the war and dysfunction of the sanitation system.
WHO officials said Houthi leaders in Sana'a had objected to the vaccination campaign, delaying it for about a year. The officials said they had not yet received permission to carry out the campaign.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that there were more than 1 million suspected cholera cases in Yemen and 2275 deaths registered as a result of the disease since November 2016
