UN envoy postpones visit to Yemen because of Houthi's declining to receive him

The UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith has postponed a planned visit to Sana'a on Friday to the middle of the week.

The Saudi daily Okaz quoted diplomatic sources as saying, "The reasons for postponement of the visit is due to the declining of the Houthi militia to receive him, given their loss of their so-called 'Political Council leader' Saleh al-Samad.

The UN envoy is planning to visit Sana'a and Aden in his second tour to revive the negotiations between the Yemeni parties, after his first briefing to the Security Council on 17 April
