Arab Coalition says prevented terrorist bombing of oil tanker in the Red Sea

The Arab Coalition has said it foiled a terrorist attempt by Houthis to bomb a Saudi oil tanker sailing in the Red Sea waters on Tuesday.

The Coalition's spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said in a statement that the tanker which was off the coast of Hodeidah received a slight hit but one of the Coalition's warships swiftly intervened to prevent the attack and the tanker was able to continue its journey on off the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah which is under the grip of the Iranian-backed rebels, said the spokesman. No further elaboration was made on the type of the attack.

But previously Houthis tried to ram boat bombs or fire missiles at Arab and US vessels in the international shipping lanes in the Red Sea.
