Houthis use convicted prisoners as anti-government fighters

According to local sources in the province of Hodeidah, Houthis have released dozens of prisoners convicted of murder and theft from the central prison of Hodeidah, in return for their acceptance to fight in their ranks against the government.

The rebel militia is reportedly suffering manpower deficiency as many of their militants have fallen in the different battlefields and thus is resorting to prisons to replenish their camps.

The rebel militia has been abducting children from all areas under their control and conscripting them militarily without the consent or knowledge of their parents.
