Houthis turn mango farms into arms stockpiles

Local residents in the western province of Hodeidah reported that the Houthi militia has turned a number of mango farms into places for storing weaponry and for secret military training.

Local residents in Al-Qanawes district, north of Hodeidah, told Asharq Al-Awsat that the rebel militia had turned a number of farms in the district into training camps for its new members, taking advantage of the trees density to hide arms and ammunition in there.

According to the sources, "the militia is transporting new recruits at night from several areas in Hajjah and al-Mahweet in black buses to these camps" where they receive days of training and sectarian religious indoctrination to be militant fighters.
