Houthis take hold of $789 national pensions and benefits

Houthis have laid their hand on $ 789 million in national pensions and retirement benefits as they seized the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions (GASSP(, the last financial institution in the capital Sana'a.
The Shia Islamists have now fully seized the financial institutions in Sana'a following the seizing of the country's $5 billion foreign cash reserves and plunging the country into the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.

Last week they seized GASSP and replaced its Hadi-appointed chief Ahmed Saleh Sayf with Sharaf al-Deen al-Kohlani a member of the Islamist militia.
