The national army has shot down a surveillance drone remotely operated by the Houthi-Saleh rebel militias in Dhale'a. A military source told the Defense Ministrys news website that "the drone was monitored as it hovered over the army's outposts on the frontlines" and was finally downed by firing a 23 caliber and 14 caliber gun shots.

It is the second straight day that the pro-government fighters shoot down a drone belonging to the Iran-aligned militias.

As for the source of the militias' drones the Yemeni government accuses Iran of supplying them. A few days ago foreign minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi told the ambassadors of the G18 countries sponsoring peace in Yemen in Riyadh that the Yemeni government is in possession of "confirmed information that new Iranian weapons have arrived to the Houthi militias' hands, among them missiles and drones."
