The United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lowcock on Friday accused the Houthi Movement of impeding delivery of humanitarian assistances to areas run by the movement.

In a meeting held Friday in the United Nations headquarters on Yemen, Lowcock said that the authorities in Sana'a often delay or impede the delivery of humanitarian assistances.

He also said that they also impede the movement of medical crews even those who work to control cholera, affirming that these impediments must be ended.

For his part, Yemen Foreign Affairs Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mikhlafi expressed readiness of the Yemeni legitimate government to cooperate with humanitarian organizations.
