In a statement released on Saturday, Abdulwahab Al-Ansi, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Reform Party, extended warm congratulations to renowned human rights activist Ameenah Al-Salam Al-Hajj on being awarded the International Women of Courage Award for 2025.

Al-Hajj, Chairwoman of the Association of Mothers of Abductees, was recognized for her unwavering dedication to promoting human rights, particularly in her advocacy for the rights of abductees and forcibly hidden individuals in Yemen.

“Al-Hajj’s courageous efforts to expose the atrocities committed by the Houthi militia and her tireless advocacy for justice and human rights have earned her a well-deserved place among the world’s most courageous women,” Al-Ansi said in a statement.
