MASAM" removes 477,583 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices in Yemen

The Director General of the "MASAM" project, Osama Al-Qossabi, announced that the field teams have removed 477,583 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices since the launch of the project until January 3.
Al-Qossabi said in a statement published by the MASAM media office that the teams have removed 316,862 unexploded ordnance and 8,184 explosive devices since the beginning of the project until now.
The project's general manager stated that the teams have also removed 145,887 anti-tank mines and 6,690 anti-personnel mines so far.
He pointed out that the engineering teams of the MASAM project have so far managed to clear 63,678,113 square meters of Yemeni land that was booby-trapped with mines, ammunition and explosive devices.
