The terrorist Houthi militia has expanded the planting of landmine networks in several areas in Hodeidah Governorate (western Yemen), especially after many residents were forcibly displaced from their homes.
The media of the local authority in Hodeidah said, in a statement issued today that the Houthi militia carried out an extensive campaign to plant new landmine networks in farms, homes and villages whose residents were forcibly displaced, specifically in Al-Jarahi district and the Manzar border area of Hodeidah city and Al-Duraihimi district, in addition to some coastal areas affiliated with the At-Tuhayta and Bayt Al-Faqih districts.
The statement added that these practices pose a direct threat to the lives of civilians and exacerbate the risks of security and stability in the region, which hinders the return of the displaced to their homes and hinders relief and development efforts
