The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has said its aid operation in the Palestinian enclave of Gaza under Israeli siege will be suspended in 48 hours due to shortage of fuel.
Israel is waging a barbaric aerial and ground war against nearly two million people in Gaza and UNRWA says "no fuel has entered Gaza" since Oct. 7
Thomas White, the Gaza chief for UNRWA wrote on X platform on Monday that humanitarian conditions had reached "critical levels".
He said, "This morning, two of our main water distribution contractors stopped working -- they simply ran out of fuel."
He said 200,000 people would have no access to drinking water.
He said, "over the past three weeks, after close coordination with the Israeli government, UNRWA managed to access a large tank of fuel in Gaza on the border with Egypt." He added, "But this tank is now empty."
