Sana’a Islah women organize symposium to commemorate party's founding and September revolution

The Women’s Department of the Yemeni Islah Party in Sana’a Governorate organized a media and political symposium in the city of Marib on Wednesday afternoon under the title “Yemeni Women are Pioneers of the Struggle and Guardians of National Values and Constants,” coinciding with the 33rd anniversary of the founding of the Yemeni Islah Party and the September Revolution anniversary.

In the first paper, which was entitled “Yemeni Women and the Memory of the September Revolution,” it was presented by the media officer of the Women’s Department and a member of the media department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Abeer Al-Hamidi, and it reviewed the detailed stages of women’s sacrifices in the September 26 Revolution.

Al-Hamidi said: “The Yemeni woman, who was the most tolerant of the ills of the Imamate period, was the most eager and yearning for the brightness of the republic, achieving its goals, and implementing its principles. All of this was reflected in the details of her life, as she was the one who languished behind walls, deprived of education, health, and the right to participate in public life.

Al-Hamidi touched on the situation of Yemeni women today during the era of the coup imamate, which took them back to the Middle Ages, and swallowed up all women’s rights and achievements that they had achieved after the September 26 Revolution. It has returned to the bygone era’s means of living by searching for firewood sticks and women have been seen in the streets of cities searching for household gas in waiting for their turn in queues as long as the eye can reach.”
