The Islah party holds the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen and all those working with him, fully responsible for collusion with the Houthi militia in continuing the intentional ignorance of freedom fighter Muhammad Qahtan who has been in Houthi detention since 2015.
The party expressed, in a statement, today, Tuesday, its disapproval at the ignorance of the issue of Professor Muhammad Qahtan, who was forcibly taken from his home and a complete media blackout was imposed surrounding his case and keeping his family, as well as members of his party unaware about his conditions in jail.
The statement indicated that this disappearance comes despite the fact that Qahtan was one of the first abductees, and among those stipulated in UN Resolution 2216. Despite all of this, Islah was talking about Qahtan and all his colleagues included in the UN resolution, as well as the rest of the disappeared and forcibly abducted.
The Islah considered the UN envoy and his assistants accomplices with the Houthis in continuing the enforced disappearance of Qahtan, and the suffering that his family, all his fans and members of his party are enduring.
