Residents of Yemen's central city of Taiz have pressed demands for freeing long detained politician Mohammed Qahtan from the custody of the terrorist Houthi militia.
In a routine rally staged, as usual, after the Friday noon prayers, hundreds of Taiz residents displayed banners demanding the release of the prominent Yemeni politician Qahtan who, in Houthi custody since Apri 2015 stands as the most forgotten prisoner as the UN claims to be helping broker a prisoner exchange between the Houthi militia and the pro-government camp.
The protesters condemned the UN peace mediator's ignorance of Qahtan while brokering a prisoner swap deal.
