Houthi landmine kills and injures seven civilians in Marib

A landmine planted by the Houthi militia has killed and injured seven civilians in the eastern Yemeni governorate of Marib, the Yemeni Observatory on Landmines said on Tuesday.

Yemeni expatriates in Saudi Arabia were driving in Harib area of Marib in their way back to their hometown  in north Yemen's Mahweet region when their car hit a landmine killing four and injuring three of them.

Houthis are the only warring party that plants landmines in Yemen and probably the only armed guerilla in modern times. Landmines have killed and injured thousands of civilians and still threat future generations.

Since Houthis have many terrorist characteristics, including landmine planting, which all stoke UN concerns about Houthis' image, the UN has got a solution for that: Addressing Yemen rights abuses and referring to abusers using the bothside-ism method.
