We appeal for help from no one except the Yemeni people: Besieged residents in Marib

The Houthi 22 days long siege on Bani Abd tribe in Abeeda region, south of Marib, has prompted the besieged tribesmen to appeal for help from the Yemeni people.

Abdulkareem Alabeedi, a young dignitary and activist from the tribe, has appealed to the "Yemeni people to help them break the Iranian militia's siege that wants us to submit or die."

Al-Abeedi who is outside the siege said, "We are appealing to the Yemeni people to help us break the siege, save thousands of families facing hunger and round-the-clock shelling by this criminal Iranian militia."

"It is our dignity and your dignity," he said addressing the population majority living under the Houthi militia's control.

Al-Abeedi said the besieged "are not stupid to beg help from an international community we know to be is 100% aligned with the Houthis."

"We do not have a hope in the international community because it has proved itself over the years to be aligned with Iran's militia. We have drawn lessons from other regions that appealed to it in the past years and got nothing," he said.

"We have no hope in the government either," he said.

"We hope the help will come only from the Yemeni people who understand everything going on in the country."
