Houthi landmine kills, injures 11civialins in Hodeida

Alsahwa Net- Eleven civilians were killed and injured as a landmine planted by Houthis exploded in Hodeida province.

Local sources affirmed that four civilians were killed, and seven others were injured, most of them were children.

This incident came hours after a similar incident occurred in al-Khokha district of Hodedia, leaving two children seriously injured.

Houthi militia has planted more than a million landmines in different parts of Yemen including key cities, main roads, and international waterways since the militia’s coup of September 2014.

Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Abdullah al-Sa'adi told a UN Security Council that the Houthis import landmines from Iran and manufacture their own and plant them everywhere they control, and the victims are usually civilians, especially women and children.
