Alsahwa Net- The Iranian-backed Houthi militias have escalated their violations against Yemeni worshippers and mosque imams.
On Sunday, a Houthi armed man stormed a mosque in Hufash, an area of Mahweet province, and shot its imams dead in front of worshippers, while praying.
Local sources told "Alsahwa Net" that the worshippers tried to take the imam to Sana’a to receive treatment, but he passed away before arriving hospital.
Houthi militias last week stormed into mosques in Sana’a province, and prevented worshipers from performing prayers.
Yemeni activists posted videos in social media, showing the Houthis occupying mosques, and chewing Qat inside them.
Houthis previously imposed restrictions on mosques, and asked imams to sign pledges not to perform Taraweeh, performed after evening prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.
