Alsahwa Net- Chief of the Islah’s Media Department, Ali Al-Jaradi stated on Sunday that attempts by some regional and international powers are underway to oust the President Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi using any political deal.
Al-Jaradi wrote on his Twitter account that the plot does not target the president himself, but his legitimacy that is enacted by the UN resolutions on Yemen.
He indicated that this plot seeks establishment of a new sectarian -based map for Yemen away from the federal Yemen.
The federal system for Yemen was proposed by the national dialogue conference in 2014.
Hadi ascended to the office in February 2012 by one-man election following nationwide popular uprising against his predecessor Ali Abdullah Saleh who ruled the country for 33 years.
Hadi’s transitional term was extended in January 2015 to supervise referendum of a new constitution and establishment of a federal system.
However, this was disrupted by the Houthis-2014 coup that eventually led to the Saudi-led military intervention with the aim to restore the government.
Hadi and his pro-political forces including the Islah party have been persistent towards the establishment of a federal state, saying it is the only safe path for a sustainable peace in Yemen.
On the other hand, the Houthis, Saleh’s supporters and the separatist southern rebels known as the Southern Transitional council (STC) have been fiercely opposing the application of the federal system.
