Alsahwa Net- The Abductees’ Mothers Association organized on Monday morning a sit-in before the seat of the Saudi-led coalition in Al-Bariqa district of Aden, south Yemen.
Correspondent of the Alsahwa Net in Aden said that participants of the sit-in demanded disclosure of their relatives who have been in forcible disappearance for three years.
The Abductees’ Mothers Association said in a statement of the sit-in that fate of over 37 detainees is still unknown, a thing which represents a grave violation to all humanitarian values.
Hundreds of civilians were arrested by southern militants affiliated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following liberation of Aden from the Houthis rebels in July 2015.
Human rights defenders say that victims were not prosecuted and subject to inhumane treatment inside secret prisons run by the UAE-affiliated local militias.
Participants of the sit-in demanded all government concerned departments and human rights organizations to do their parts for the release of their relatives whose rights have been ignored by all parties involved in the ongoing conflict.
The association said that protesting activities will continue until their relatives return home.
