Houthis attack government forces sites south Hodeida

The Houthi militants intensified on Friday their artillery bombing against government forces sites in Hais, south Hodeida.

Local sources quoted by Al-Masdaronline said that the Houthi militants used mortar shells and heavy machineguns for shelling government forces sites stationed in remote areas of Hais district.

The militants carried out similar shelling on Thursday against government forces positions in Derihimi district, south Hodeida.

The Houthis’ escalation in Hodeida began two weeks ago where several government forces positions in Al-Khokha, Al-Tahita and Hodeida city came under fire amidst UN attempts to enforce Hodeida ceasefire to implement Stockholm agreement.
