Health ministry urges access to Aden injured people

The Ministry of Public Health and Population urged on Thursday access of its first responders to injured people in Aden quarters.
The ministry demanded protection of healthcare providers to assist them access wounded victims for saving their lives and removing dead bodies from streets.
This came amidst bloody fighting erupted last Wednesday between the UAE-backed pro-separation forces and the government forces.
It urged that parties must ensure protection of civilians and that they have access to drinking water and electricity. It added that civilians must be allowed displacement to safer areas.
It called on parties to the conflict to avoid random shelling against residential areas and no to use civilians’ areas for barricading and military operations.
So far, militants banned or restricted movement of ambulance vehicles from driving to residential areas, according to the health ministry statement.
It demanded that health facilities that were shut down be reopened and medical supplies be secured to hospitals.
