Alsahwa Net- Chair of the Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC) and Head of the UN Mission in support of the Hodeida Agreement Michael Lollesgaard arrived in Aden on Sunday to discuss the redeployment in Hodeida.
Media reports have revealed that Lollesgaard will meet representatives of the Yemeni government’s negotiation team that objected the Houthi unilateral withdrawal of the from some Yemeni ports.
The government accused the UN Special Envoy to Yemeni Martin Griffiths of treating the "rebels as a de-facto government and as an equal to the legitimate and elected government" of Yemen.
Meanwhile, Yemen Parliament on Tuesday demanded the government not to deal with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, accusing him of challenging UN Resolution 2216 and the Sweden agreement.
Griffiths had told the UN Security Council last week that the Houthis withdrew from three Yemeni ports, pointing out that this withdrawal would allow the UN to play a leading role in supporting the Yemen Red Sea ports in management and inspections at the ports.
