Two abductees die under torture in Houthi prisons

Alsahwa Net- The Abductees’ Mothers Association has condemned the death of two abductees; Yahya al-Namashah and Zaid al-Namashah in Houthi prisons under torture last week.
The association affirmed that Yaya al-Namashah died in a Houthi prison in Amran and that Zaid al-Namash died in another prison in Sana’a two months after they were abducted by the Houthis from Hajja governorate.
The association said that signs of torture were found out in their bodies, demanding the United Nations to investigate such crimes and put an end to grim crimes practiced by the Houthis against Yemenis.
It further appealed to the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to immediately intervene to release the abductees and enforcedly disappeared persons from the Houthi prisons without conditions.
According to Yemeni human rights groups, the Houthis continue using all sorts of torture against abductees inside their prisons due to the international silence towards their crimes.
Yemeni and international organizations state that more than 180 persons died inside Houthi prisons.
They denounce the torture practiced inside custodies the Houthis, affirming that the abductees are subjected to brutal mental and physical torture.
