Houthis intensify violations against Hodeida truce

Alsahwa Net- A spokesman of the Yemeni Army Mamoun al-Mahjami on Tuesday revealed that the Houthis have intensified violations against Hodedia truce during the past 24 hours.
In a remark to the Saudi Okaz newspaper, al-Mahjami said that the Houthis are using drones in bombing populated neighborhoods and areas of Hodeida.
He further said that the Houthis that the Houthis exploited Hodeida truce to plant landmines in roads and farms, killing scores of civilians since the beginning of the truce in December 2018.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) has reported that Houthi forces widespread use of landmines along Yemen’s western coast since mid-2017 has killed and injured hundreds of civilians and prevented aid groups from reaching vulnerable communities.
In a report, HRW spelt out that the Houthi used antipersonnel mines and anti-vehicle mines indiscriminately in violation of the laws of war, posing dangers to civilians long after hostilities have ceased.
