Another key figure of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) party survived an assassination attempt in the Mualla district in the interim capital Aden on Wednesday, days after another leader had survived a similar bid.

Al Sahwa website learnt that that local councilor and Islah member in Mualla, Arafat Hazam, survived an assassination attempt by a bomb planted in his car.

His car suddenly exploded moments before he got into it to drive to work, the sources said..

A few days before Aref Ahmed Ali another Islah figure survived a few days ago survived with slight injuries an explosion of a plastic bomb in his car. His son who was with him in the car lost his leg however.
