A government official said on Sunday that the US decision to remove Houthis from terror designation had emboldened the Houthis to be too stubborn in the Amman consultations over prisoner exchange, which caused the consultations to fail.
.The head of the government’s delegations to the consultation Hadi Hayj said in a tweet, “the delegation of the Houthi militia were too stubborn in an intent to fail the consultations, especially after their terror designation has been eradicated.”
The consultations were supposed to secure the release of 300 prisoners, 200 Houthis and one 100 pro-government.
Yemenis say the US removal of the Houthi terror designation was disastrous, emboldening the terrorist theocratic militia to resume a seriously fierce and unrelenting war on government-held cities especially Marib.
