Islah’s Secretary General meets French diplomat

Alsahwa Net- Secretary General of the Islah Party, Abdulwahab Al-Ansi met on Monday the French Ambassador to Yemen, Christian Testu as the latter’s term in the office comes to the end.
Al-Ansi and Testu discussed Yemen’s latest developments particularly the United Nations (UN) led efforts for peace in Yemen.
Al-Ansi affirmed the need the international community takes firm actions to achieve peace in Yemen, end the fighting and demilitarize militias.
He indicated that the Houthis escalate in Hodeida, Marib, Al-Jawf and other fronts which signifies their defiance to the peace calls.
He highlighted the need to implement the UN Security Council resolutions on Yemen and that tolerance to the implementation of those resolutions will prolong the war.
Al-Ansi with other officials of the party discussed also with Testu steps taken towards the implementation of the Al-Riyadh implementation acceleration mechanism.
He said that the implantation of the mechanism is significant to enhance security and stability in the southern provinces as well as to support efforts to end the Houthis’ coup and retrieve the state.
He added that implementation of the Al-Riyadh agreement is essential to restore the public service in the government-held areas and restore Yemen’s security and stability.
For his part, the French ambassador, appreciated the role of the Islah in supporting peace in Yemen and the its constant positions with the state and its institutions.
He renewed his country’s support to the peace in Yemen in line to the agreed references.
