Alsahwa Net- The government called on Thursday the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to take a strict position to subversive activities by Iran in Yemen and the region.
During its virtual meeting on the same day, the Yemeni cabinet said that Iran continues smuggling of the military technology, fuel shipments and military instructors to the Houthis militia in Yemen.
It said that these activities destabilize Yemen's security and stability and threaten the world navigation routes and the regional and the world security.
It said that constant smuggling of the Iran-made weapons to the Houthis rebels violates blatantly the international laws and the UNSC resolutions on Yemen particularly the UN arms embargo to the Houthis.
It indicated that the Houthis confront the UN efforts with military escalation in various fronts, target civilians and the Saudi territory using explosive uncrewed aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles.
The Prime Minister, Maeen Abdulmalik, who chaired the meeting, affirmed that such military escalation signals clearly no seriousness by the Houthis towards the peaceful resolution.
