COVID-19 Quarantine facility established in Aden

Alsahwa Net- The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday that it has supported establishment of a COVID-19 quarantine facility in Aden to ensure response should any case is confirmed.

The country at present reported no confirmed cases of the COVID-19, the WHO reaffirmed.

It said that establishment of the quarantine facility in Aden was coordinated with the Yemen’s Ministry of Health to raise the country’s preparedness for any emergency.

Yemen has already taken several preventive measures against the COVID-19 including shutdown of airports, seaports and land ports, suspension of education and suspension of mass gatherings in mosques.

By Wednesday’s noon 25 March, over 428,000 people worldwide were confirmed infected with the COVID-19.

So far, the disease has killed over 19,000 people.

The global pandemic has forced many countries to shut down border, suspended flights and impose a lockdown.
