Alsahwa Net- The Iran-backed Houthi rebels have intensified the holding of sectarianism courses in the governorate of Hajjah during the summer holiday.
Local sources affirmed that the Houthis bring school students to join summer centers and then send them to battlefields after they are brainwashed.
The Houthi-appointed education minister Yahya al-Houthi had issued orders to appoint affiliates of the Houthi Movement as teachers in public schools to teach the ideologies of the movement.
These appointments came days after Houthi instructions were circulated to school principals to teach a weekly class of the Houthi Movement’s textbooks.
In a circular distributed to schools, The Houthi leader warned against “the cultural invasion which target students through TV channels and social media”.
Moreover, the Houthi militias had authorized scores of Houthi clerics to recruit children in Sana’a schools, local sources in Sana’a told Alsahwa Net.
Many Yemeni families from different governorates complain that their children are taken by the Houthis, without their permission, to fight in different fighting fronts.
The sources said that the Houthi-appointed Governor of Sana’a Hamoud Obad personally supervise the recruitment and mobilization processes.
Yemeni rights groups have issued reports in which they affirmed that one third of the Houthi fighters are under 18 years.
