Alsahwa Net- A Yemeni human rights team has revealed that Houthis use private prisons for torturing women in Sana’a.
The report also exposed a list of Houthi leaders who are involved in the torture and abduction of hundreds of Yemeni women.
The International Yemen Team for Peace affirmed on Friday, in a statement, that more than 2000 women are detained inside private prisons run by the Houthi Movement in Sana’a.
The rights team said that women were detained because they opposed the Houthi policies of oppression and terror, and voiced their opinion in peaceful ways.
The Houthi Movement has a special unit which is called al-Zainabeyat. This unit is comprised of trained Houthi women who are tasked with repressing opposing women, detaining them and looting their properties.
