Alsahwa Net- The Houthis still procrastinate to evacuate about 50 injured Houthi rebels to Muscat for treatment, diplomatic sources said on Monday.
The source affirmed that the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths arrived in Sana’a on Monday and that he is still attempting to convince the Houthis to evacuate their injured fighters.
The sources said that the Houthis try to shun their commitment to attend the consultations which are set to be held Sweden early of the current month.
Houthi rebels have said they will attend the consultations if they are guaranteed safe passage. Therefore, a UN-chartered plane will arrive at Sana’a international airport Monday to evacuate 50 wounded combatants accompanied by three Yemeni doctors and a UN doctor, from Sana’a to Muscat.
The Houthis did not attend previous talks which were set to be held last September in Geneva, saying that the UN failed to secure the evacuation of their wounded combatants to Oman.
